These images were shot for the Bath Organic Garden’s (BOG) open day. The day was a celebration of the garden's success as well as showcasing the new polytunnel that BOG have constructed using money from a grant that was recently given to them from the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS). There were tours of the garden led by some of the lead gardeners as well as activities for kids such as seed planting and clay sculpture making. As well as showcasing the space and community aspects of the garden, several stands were advertising other community projects around Bath.
Despite being a bright sunny day, which is notoriously poor for photographing events due to the harsh light and shadows, I managed to capture the fun energy and nature of the community garden in which people of all ages can get involved. I particularly enjoyed capturing the children being helped to make their clay sculptures.
I hope to capture more images and possibly videos from the community garden in the future as it's somewhere with great access and very willing participants to get involved with telling others about the work they do there.
